On April 17th, Maya was examed by the doctor. She was 1 month and 3 weeks at her visit. When our lawyer/Power of Attorney saw her she knew Maya was not progressing normally. She was only 6.8lbs and 19.9 inches. Our lawyer was concerned about Maya not getting the proper nutrition. She fired Maya's fostermom right then and there. Maya was then put into the care of her new fostermom, Debbie. We are told that Debbie is a nurse and is wonderful. Also, Maya was put on a special formula and vitamins to help her gain weight.
